A bodyguard vows to exact revenge upon anyone who profited from the kidnapping of the young girl under his protection.

Creasy (Denzel) is a drunk with a jaded past. We are not sure exactly what he used to do, we just know it was not run of the mill. His friend (Christopher Walken) gets him a job as a bodyguard for a Mexican family. His job specifically is to guard the daughter, Pita (Fanning). He is anti-social has lost touch with life. Pita pulls him back to reality. She teaches him there are things worth living for...then she gets kidnapped. Creasy then decides to kill everyone who had anything to do with Pita being taken from her family; with her being taken away from him.

I liked this movie a good deal. Denzel Washington is capable of pulling of great performances, but he does not always deliver. He delivered in Man on Fire.

The show, however, may have been stolen by Dakota Fanning. Only 10 years old when the movie was released, she had great chemistry with Washington.

My favorite Denzel Washington movie/performance is Fallen.
